Overview

Each season brings its own beauty, but spring is by far the most beloved time of the year. It never fails to lift the spirits to see dormant plants wake up again. Flowering shrubs that looked like sticks just a week ago now burst with green leaves and new buds. The Cherry Blossom Season is a stunning time that can be seen at the beginning of spring.

In Gilgit-Baltistan, particularly in Hunza, spring arrives before the end of March and lasts until mid-April. It's not just the spring season that spreads beauty throughout Gilgit-Baltistan, but also the cherry blossom season, which gives an even more enchanting sight. The lovely pink cherry blossoms never fail to make anyone smile.

The duration of this season is very short, lasting just about a month, from mid-March to the end of April. The tradition of cherry blossom viewing dates back to ancient times, when nobles wrote poetry and sang songs beneath the blooming trees. The shape and color of the petals reflect people's ideal image of peace and grace. Whenever the breeze touches the delicate petals of the cherry blossoms, the surroundings are filled with pink petals and the beautiful fragrance fills the air. Above all, there is a variety of trees that bloom in spring, such as apricot and cherry trees. The lush, green-covered fields surrounded by trees present a captivating view for visitors.
